Only Member’s students can be entered in the Memorial Competition which is a separate contest for advanced students with cash awards

Your Membership supports the IMA and has kept the organization going for 60+ years. Membership pays for the every day expenses of the organization. Remember, all of the Board Members volunteer their time and effort with no monetary compensation.

MUSIC TEACHER - An Individual
An Individual
Actively engaged in the education of music students

PROFESSIONAL - An Individual
One whose principal form of livelihood is in the music field: Performer, Teacher, Music Arranger, Composer, Editor, Publisher, or one whose business is in the Building and Servicing of musical instruments.

STUDENT TEACHER - An Individual
A currently enrolled college student, teaching private music lessons and/or a music student-teacher.

Affiliate - An Individual
An individual not in the music field, with no students enrolled in the IMA competition.
